Vision

NGUVU Foundation is dedicated to improving the standard of living for women in rural areas by providing access to education, vocational training, financial resources, and support networks.

Mission

We empower women to become agents of change in their communities, fostering economic independence and promoting gender equality.

How we support our community

Nguvu empowers over 1,500 women at the Bandisuglo shea production centre in rural Ghana by creating sustainable income through the production of pure shea butter and natural soaps. Alongside this, we provide essential resources such as equipment, mobile phones, and leadership training to strengthen their independence and livelihoods.

However, many of these women have no access to childcare, meaning children aged 2–5 are often brought into unsafe working environments.

In response, we have established a free learning centre, creating a safe and structured environment where children can learn, play, and develop. Two classrooms are already in place, supporting 60 children in 2024 and expanding to 80 in 2025 as demand continues to grow.

With more families seeking support, we are expanding the school with two additional classrooms and furnishing the space to ensure every child has access to a safe, nurturing start in life - while enabling mothers and grandmothers to work with peace of mind.
